Over this 6 week course, we will work on your body awareness and how to execute and understand isolations and body movements as solo dancers, and as leaders/followers how to create more control over even subtle body movements.

*** WHAT WILL BE COVERED***
We're aiming to create the foundations of strong and stylish body movement. AS A SOLO DANCER AND IN LEAD/FOLLOW!
Using exercises from a range of dance styles (Andrea loves belly dancing in particular) we will cover all isolations and break down the technique behind standard bachata moves, so you'll find they sometimes look harder than they really are! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
We'll work on your individual isolations and dynamic body movements, covering the whole range of body movements used in bachata, and work on getting them absorbed into muscle memory, and then show how this relates to leading/following the movements.
As a leader you'll learn how to clean up your leading of isolations and body movement, and how to lead sharper or smoother movements, taking the moves you already know and creating more from them.
We will focus on how hips, chest and head move, changes of style, speeding up your isolations but as well we will apply the frame/connection concepts to make them leadable.
All welcome. Fantastic to build bachata foundation. Be aware you may be challenged. This isn’t aimed at teaching you choreography.
